Boy, the things you learn when the product actually goes under the knife. With the exception of 2x setbacks the projects came out AMAZING and I can't wait to share pictures of the product installed!
The first issue was setting the depth of cut, the problem with a profiled bit is that if you go too deep, the lower color bleeds into the rounded profile and makes the color look messed up, so be CAREFUL when setting your Z heights! I ordered an auto zero plate that I will be setting up this week.
The 2nd issue was a connector coming apart on the X axis in the middle of a cut :( Not much you can say about that other than good luck and God speed :) I will be replacing all DB9 connectors with GX16 twist lock aircraft connections...
A 3rd issue that will have to always be dealt with is wrinkles in the plastic sheet covering the adhesive. It slips during shipping and when the sheets are laid flat, you get a hump in it that you need to remove by manually squeegeeing out the material to remove the wrinkles. It takes about 2 minutes per sheet to do before you lay it on the vacuum table.
So without further adiue, here are some pics from the swim platforms on an '05 Regal 2650 in grey over blue diamond, and a '94 Sundancer 400 in grey over black teak.
Oh yeah, business cards are IN!
